For the past 25 years I have strived to bring the best organic & natural foods available to the people of Douglas County and all the many travelers that pass through our doors. I bake fresh whole grain breads, rolls, pastries, cookies and much more three times a week.
I use only the highest quality products in my baked goods. My breads are made with all organic flours. All of my breads are vegan and some of my rolls. My cookies are made with organic butter (made in Oregon) raw sugar & eggs raised just up the road. All my baked goods are made using whole grains, honey, dates, oats & nuts. I also make vegan wheat free breads & cookies made with rice flour and agave syrup.

Promise carries a large variety of bulk item with over 70 bulk bins full of flours, beans, legumes, grains, pasta, seeds and nuts. We also have bulk safflower oil, olive oil, molasses and two kinds of northwestern honey. We have natural and organic nuts butters. Promise sells only organically grown produce. Buying from our local certified organic farms when available.
We feature a full selection of natural and organic dairy products from Nancy’s yogurts to organic valley milk and cut to order raw milk cheeses. We also carry soy yogurts and non dairy cheeses along with salsa, hummus and other dips and snacks. We also have a wide variety of teas and organic fair trade coffees.
Our dry goods section has everything from cereals, crackers, chips, pasta sauces, condiments, jams. wheat free pasta and gluten free mixes.
Our herb room has the best selection and lowest prices in southern Oregon with over 150 jars of assorted herb, spices and seasonings along with all your other baking needs.
We are located on the corner of 5th. And Main Street in Canyonville, Oregon just one block of hwy 5. From the south take exit 98 turn right and you will see the peace sign on the top of the store. From the north take 99 go under the freeway and head south down main street to 5th.
We are open Monday through Friday 9:30 to 6:00 Saturday 10:00 to 5:00. Closed on Sunday.
Foot note: when I graduated from high school in 1971. A friend and I were hitchhiking to Canada from southern California, we stopped in Canyonville to pick up some supplies and shopped at this store that at the time was one block down the street. It had just opened and had just a few things. Six years later I moved to the Tiller area(26 miles east) and started shopping at the store that move to the the end of town. It was soon sold again and moved to where it is now. It started buying it in 1986 and have been running it ever since.
